Col and I are spending New Year on the yacht again, so I spoke to the wardens today (Thu) about the conditions on the lake before we travel up tomorrow. There are boats 'frozen in' at Ferry Nab so they advise not to attempt to go there. The ice is 4 inches thick in this area as well as many other areas of the lake, the tourist boats haven't been in operation due to the ice on the lake. It is highly possible that the race on Sunday 2nd January will not go ahead.

Had a message from Dave that the race is still on (for now....). Check the website for details as we will not have access to a computer from now on. Any doubts drop me a text or call on 07786 548159.

I've just had a call from Ken to say that he and Dave have been out on the lake looking at the conditions, and Dave has decided that the Race can go ahead.
