Winter Series

Looking forward to seeing the Winter Series start up again this coming weekend (November 7th). The carpark at WMV is available for competitors to use and the post race meetings and prize givings will be held in the Spinnaker Club as usual.

It looks like its going to stay very cold over the weekend. The marina is frozen but we are breaking the ice with our workboat if anyone wants to get out on the lake. If you are coming up over the weekend and do want to get out just call the office on 015394 46551 half an hour or so before you want to head out and we will come 'round and clear a way for you. We can do the same before you come back in, if you let us know what time. We only have an inch or 2 of snow at the moment and all the roads are clear (Thursday morning). Dan

Any ice spotted out on the lake?

Don't think there is much ice out on the lake - spoke to the Wardens earlier who said it looked clear yesterday when they were out, just a bit around the shoreline in sheltered areas. Its snowing here now so will update again later. Just broken the ice in the marina with the workboat and towed the WCA committee boat out to the entrance channel so its ready to go for Sunday.

The race tomorrow is cancelled due to hazardous conditions on the Jetties and slipway at Ferry Nab. Please pass the word around
