First week back after the Christmas break, Have to be honest, I haven't opened the book for 3 weeks so a tad rusty! we started going through a few sample questions and test papers from the course, its surprising how quickly you forget stuff. we now have 3 weeks of revision then we take our assessment tests and then the final exam.

Only 6 months to go now until the Round The Island 2012 race so time to start preparing the teams and getting some training in! Most of us are going down to the Rules Night Hosted by Blackpool and Fleetwood Sailing Club on Tuesday 17th Jan, see the post in North West Sailing Clubs and Events for more details, we hope to see you there!!

We are a group of 16 sailors who all sail together on Lake windermere with the WCA in the Summer and Winter Series. We are going to race the infamous Round The Island Race 2012 in 2 Identical Beneteau F40 boats as 2 teams of 8. We have a realy good mixture of sailing abilities to be split between the two boats, from experienced offshore racing skippers to some who have never sailed on the sea before. The event is set to be fast and furious and an experience of a life time. If you only ever do one offshore race then this is the one!!
